SOLENTO leather is an Italian-made, top-dyed and embossed type of leather

that has a pigmented, opaque surface so that natural imperfections of the hide are less or not at all noticeable.

This layer provides extra protection, making this type of leather suitable for intensive use. It offers very high resistance to stains and soiling from liquids.

No stains or natural marks such as insect bites or healed scars are visible, so the surface is even and absolutely perfect,

which is the most preferable option for luxury goods.

The leather selected for SOLENTO luggage is a result of experience, passion and of exquisite craftsmanship. It certainly ranks among the finest available leathers in the world. Numerous, strict criteria must be met before a leather is finally approved for the manufacture of our luggage. 

Our selection process is rigorous to ensure longevity and performance of SOLENTO leather and for more than two decades we have worked with our trusted tanner and supplier to select only the most suitable leather and saturated colours.



To enhance colour, lustre and feel, the leather for SOLENTO luggage is produced in highest quality manufacturing processes. Even the colour-matching process is complex, since, to achieve an intense and perfect saturation, colours must be considered under several variations of light and from different angles.

Finally, SOLENTO leather is treated with an environmentally friendly water-based finish. Its corrected-grain surface is durable and flexible. Its unique texture is a playground for the fingertips. And the soft, pliable feel will last a lifetime if it is given appropriate care and attention.
